Church extension – a piece of architecture that tries to respond to its surroundings with a focus on functionality and strict planning approval compliance. There is a seamless connection between old and new reflected not only on it’s exterior but also in the spatial connectivity of it’s interior. The utilitarian character of the existing was creatively enhanced yet not lost in the new. Material choices of the existing creatively informed the proposed, leading to a harmonised piece of architecture..This work was implemented by OMI architects and AA Architecture director now architect, was among the team that advised the client on the project design. AA Architecture implemented these 3D visualisation images.
